Udon Thani International AirportUdon Thani International Airport (Thai: (IATA: UTH, ICAO: VTUD) is an airport near the city of Udon Thani (Thai: also Udorn Thanee) in Udon Thani Province in the northeast region of Thailand. It is approximately 450 km (280 mi) northeast of Bangkok. It currently has domestic flights to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang), Chiang Mai (on Nok Air), and Phuket (on Thai AirAsia). In 2006 the airport had 677,411 passengers movements and 1,558 MT cargo movements. In 2013, the airport handled 1,325,305 passengers. Nong Han KumphawapiNong Han Kumphawapi (Thai: pronounced [nɔ̌ːŋ hǎːn kumpʰawaːpiː], often just Nong Han, lit. \"goose wetland\") is a lake in northeast Thailand, north of the town of Kumphawapi, Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani Province. The lake is shallow, mostly not exceeding a depth of one meter. The open water area of 1.7 km² is surrounded by a wetland covering 4.1 km2, including paddy fields. In 2001 the lake was declared a wetland of international importance by the Thai government.Show on map
