Žiri ([ʒiˈɾiː] or [ˈʒiːɾi]; formerly also Žir, locally Žier, German: Sairach) is a town in northwestern Slovenia. It is the administrative centre of the Municipality of Žiri, created in 1994. Prior to this the town belonged administratively to the area of Škofja Loka.

Žirovski VrhŽirovski Vrh (pronounced [ʒiˈɾoːu̯ski ˈʋəɾx]) is a dispersed settlement in the hills east of Žiri in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is made up of isolated farmsteads and small hamlets on the southeastern slopes of a range called Žiri Peak (Slovene: Žirovski vrh). The dispersed nature of the settlement on the hill continues into the neighbouring Municipality of Gorenja Vas–Poljane with the settlements of Žirovski Vrh Svetega Antona and Žirovski Vrh Svetega Urbana on its northern slopes. KoprivnikKoprivnik (pronounced German: Kopriunik) is a small dispersed settlement northwest of Žiri in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It consists of isolated farms in the hills above the right bank of Sovodenjščica Creek (a.k.a. Hobovščica Creek), extending from the Javorščica Gorge to the hills above Fužine.
