The Municipality of Loški Potok (Slovene: Občina Loški potok) is a municipality in southern Slovenia. It is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The municipal administration is based in the settlement of Hrib–Loški Potok. Traditionally forestry provided the main income for local inhabitants and it still plays an important role.

PodplaninaPodplanina (pronounced [ˈpotːplanina]; in older sources also Planina, German: Alben, Gottschee German: Untrdaubə) is a small settlement in the Municipality of Loški Potok in southern Slovenia, next to the border with Croatia. The source of the Čabranka River lies just west of the village. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. It stands on terraces above the Čabranka River on steep slopes below Trava Peak (Slovene: Travljanski vrh). The settlement consists of a number of hamlets (Pri Kolarjih, Zdolenjci, Pri Kapelici, Hrib) and individual houses (Loka, Banija, Pri Kovačnici, Izvor/Obrh, Pri Drobniču). LazecLazec (pronounced [ˈlaːzəts]; formerly also Laze; German: Gehack or Gehag (bei Obergrass), Gottschee German: Gəhack) is a village in the Municipality of Loški Potok in southern Slovenia, close to the border with Croatia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. There is a pond along the road to Hrib–Loški Potok and another on the road to Stari Kot. The pond towards Stari Kot is walled and stands below Prištal Spring, which is also walled. Before the Second World War the pond was regularly cleaned and used for swimming by the locals. There are karst sinkholes near the pond below the road. Show Lazecon the map
TravnikTravnik (pronounced [ˈtɾaːu̯nik]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Loški Potok in southern Slovenia. It includes the hamlet of Bela Voda and a few dispersed farmsteads in the hills east of the main settlement. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region. The settlement includes the hamlets of Bela Voda (German: Weißwasser), Dednik, and Kaplja (German: Kappel). There is a small chapel in the settlement. It consists of the hamlets of Binkl, Kurja Vas (Slovene: Kurja vas), Pri Ambrožiču, Hrib, and Preska (German: Preiche). The main road from Lazec to Prezid runs through the village.
