The Municipality of Domžale (Slovene: Občina Domžale, [ˈóːpt͡ʃina dɔmˈʒàːlɛ]) is a municipality in the Ljubljana Basin in Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Domžale. The municipality lies near the foothills of the Kamnik Alps and is crossed by the Kamnik Bistrica River, which originates in these mountains. Its landscape is characterized by forested hills and agricultural plains.

TurnšeTurnše (pronounced [ˈtuːɾnʃɛ]; in older sources also Turnišče) is a settlement south of Radomlje in the Municipality of Domžale in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Črnelo Castle (German: Rottenbüchel) used to stand on Hribar Hill (Slovene: Hribarjev hrib) above Turnše. The castle was first mentioned in written sources in 1297 but at the end of the 17th century it was abandoned for a manor below the castle.
