The Municipality of Cankova (Slovene: Občina Cankova) is a municipality in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Cankova. The area was originally a part of the Municipality of Murska Sobota. In 1995, the Municipality of Cankova–Tišina was formed, which existed until 1999, when Tišina became a separate municipality.

SkakovciSkakovci (pronounced [ˈskaːkɔu̯tsi]; Hungarian: Szécsényifalva) is a village in the Municipality of Cankova in the Prekmurje region of northeastern Slovenia. There is a small chapel in the settlement. It is built of red brick and has a three-storey belfry. A commemorative plaque dedicated to victims of cholera dates the building to 1832.
