Al-Jawf Region (Arabic: الجوف al-Ǧawf [alˈdʒoːf]), also spelled Al-Jouf, is a region of Saudi Arabia, located in the north of the country, containing its only international border with Jordan to the west. It has an area of 100,212 km² and a population of 440,009 at the 2010 Census (preliminary result). Its capital is Sakakah. The region has three governorates - Sakakah, Qurayyat and Dumat Al-Jandal. The region is home to a few historical sites such as Az-Za'bel, Umar ibn Al-Khattaab Mosque, the Kaf Village and the Qadeer Palace, which is known for stone inscriptions.

ḨaqlHaql is a town in the northwest of Saudi Arabia near the head of the Gulf of Aqaba, adjacent to Aqaba across the Jordanian border. The coasts of Egypt, Israel and Jordan can be seen from Haql. Haql is a small city and it is not a port used for Red Sea shipping, and the relatively small Saudi population does not engage in water desalination. As a result, the reefs in this area are pristine and populated with diverse flora and fauna. The coasts of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba in this region are scenic. ŢubarjalTabarjal (Arabic:طبرجل) is an important town in the north of Saudi Arabia.The nearest big city is Al Gurayat or Qurayyat. Tabarjal is one of the major modern towns in the region of Al-Jawf, where it has for over forty years attempted to solve the problem of the suffering in the desert by organizing the settlement project, digging wells.
